Protecting the Future

None of us knows exactly what is around the corner – but we can prepare for most eventualities.

Your property and its surrounding land may be hundreds of years old, or it may be very modern. It may have a long-established history, or may have undergone a major change relatively recently. Or you may have started from a new site and a blank piece of paper! In all cases you would like what you pass on to be looked after properly – or at the very least, approached with real knowledge of what was there before and why it was in that specific layout.

Owners of many properties and their gardens – and many estates with their associated landscapes – do not have the protected “living information&dquo; to pass on to their heirs and successors, or the next owners. But this detail is all part of the heritage of this country. Some a small part, some much larger, but still they are all important. There is a growing awareness of responsibility for future generations which was always there for the few but which is now cascading throughout the country.

If you do not have every piece of dead data turned into useful living Information, properly protected in a future-proof manner, then you are taking risks – and potentially reducing the value of your property. Should you decide to sell the property then to have this living information ready and waiting for the new owners must add to the sale value.
